Prior to Your Arrival
In preparation for your procedure, one of our nurses will contact you by phone one business day prior to your appointment to discuss your medical history, any medications you are currently taking and to provide you with instructions.
There are a few important items for you to keep in mind:
- Photo ID
- Insurance Cards
You will need to present these upon arrival along with the paperwork contained in the Welcome Packet you received from your physicians office.
Please click here to review and complete the packet prior to your arrival.
Jewelry, money and credit cards are all to be left at home.
Contact Lenses & Glasses
If you wear glasses, bring them. We will remove them prior to your procedure and store them safely for you. Contact lenses may not be worn.
Wear anything loose fitting and comfortable, easy to put on after your procedure.
An Anesthesiologist will be present continually for your care while you are a patient at the Center. Prior to your procedure they will review your medical history and perform a brief physical assessment. You will be asked about underlying medical conditions and the medications you are taking. Most medications should be taken with a few sips of water upon awakening on the day of your procedure. It is important to inform them if you have a history of allergic reaction to specific medications. Previous surgeries as well as your vital signs will be recorded.
Prior to the day of surgery, you will have been instructed on the need to fast preoperatively. If you have any questions regarding the procedure preparation – please do not hesitate to contact your physician’s office.
Please plan to arrive on time. Your procedure and subsequent recovery time usually takes approximately two hours.
