Dr. Evan Orosz is a board certified specialist in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. After receiving his medical degree from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, Dr. Orosz completed an extended residency at Rutgers-New Jersey Medical School, specializing in both Internal Medicine and Pediatrics. He later went on to complete his sub-specialty training in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Rutgers-Robert Wood Johnson, where he served as Chief Fellow.
Dr. Orosz offers expertise in diagnosing and treating a wide array of gastrointestional conditions including Inflammatory Bowel Disease, Acid Reflux, Barrett’s Esophagus, Peptic Ulcer Disease, Celiac Disease, Irritable Bowel Syndrome, Chronic Diarrhea and Constipation, Colon Cancer screening, and liver disease including Fatty Liver Disease (NASH/NAFL), Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, and Cirrhosis.
Dr. Orosz has presented at national meetings for the American College of Gastroenterology and has published numerous peer-reviewed articles on topics such as Celiac Disease, GI/Liver manifestations of COVID-19, and Gastrointestional bleeding in top tier journals such JAMA Internal Medicine, Clinical Gastroenterology & Hepatology, and World Journal of Gastroenterology. He is also a member of multiple medical societies including the American Society of Gastointestional Endoscopy and American College of Gastroenterology.
Dr. Orosz believes in shared decision making and active communication with his patients. He understands the difference between care and caring, which is why he became a physician in the first place. Furthermore, Dr. Orosz strives to ensure that every patient and their family members are provided with the highest quality care and compassion that they deserve. Dr. Orosz is an avid NY Giants and Knicks fan and when he isn’t caring for his patients, he is probably watching something on Netflix or spending time with his wife and son.
