Dr. Nadeem A. Baig was born in Queens, N.Y. and grew up in Central N.J. After graduating from High School, he was accepted into an advanced 6 year accelerated B.S., M.D. program at the Pennsylvania State University and Jefferson Medical College/Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, PA. After graduation, he completed a three year Internal Medicine Residency at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of N.J. Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, N.J. He then returned to Thomas Jefferson University Hospital for a fellowship in Gastroenterology and Hepatology.
In addition to performing EGD (esophagogastroduodenoscopy) and Colonoscopy, Dr. Baig has advanced training in ERCP (Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancretography) and EUS (Endoscopic Ultrasound).
His interests include liver disease, gallbladder, biliary tract and pancreatic disorders, and gastrointestinal cancers. Dr. Baig is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of N.J. Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. He is a member of the American College of Gastroenterology.
