Dr. Shukla graduated from Rajasthan University, India with a degree in Medicine and Surgery. She completed her residency from State University of New York, Buffalo and was then chosen to serve as the chief medical resident. She stayed at the University of Buffalo to complete her training in Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition. She treats a wide range of disorders related to gastrointestinal tract and liver. Her special interests include managing all aspects of ‘Digestive Health and Disease in Women’ as well as disorders related to the esophagus /swallowing.
Dr. Shukla is a member of several professional societies including America College of Gastroenterology, American Gastroenterology Association. Dr. Shukla also serves as a reviewer for several peer reviewed medical journals. She has also been invited to present her research at national meetings such as Digestive Disease Week and American College of Gastroenterology. Dr. Shukla strongly believes in incorporating life-style changes and adjusting nutrition in the overall management plan. In her spare time Dr. Shukla enjoys spending time with her 4 year old daughter and traveling.
